Toy Care
How should I clean my silicone toys?
For general cleaning, soap (or toy cleaner) and hot water is works well. Coat your toy with plenty of soap and work it in generously. Rinse and let it air dry.
You can also put your toys on the top shelf of the dishwasher and run them through a cleaning cycle (not recommended for toys made with NearClear or SortaClear silicone due to the heat). Just remember not to mix your toys and your dishes!
If you need a bit more cleaning power you can mix up some water and bleach in a 10% solution – or a 10:1 ratio of water to bleach (NEVER boil any solution containing bleach). Wash them as above with soap and water then soak your toys for an hour or two in the bleach solution. Then wash with soap and hot water to remove any bleach solution. Rinse thoroughly and let air dry.
Alternatively you can drop your toy in a pot of water and bring it to a full boil. Let it boil for 10-15 minutes and then let it cool. Wash with soap and water, rinse thoroughly and let air dry. This is not recommended for toys made with NearClear or Sortaclear silicone.
Always make sure your silicone items are dry before returning them to storage.
